Loading and unloading docks

Loading docks are the ideal solution for moving heavy loads

Iridium designs and develops complete loading and unloading bays; these are the ideal solution for moving heavy loads from the warehouse to vehicles and vice versa. Loading bays are essentially composed of 3 products: sectional industrial doors, a loading platform and an isothermal portal.

SECTIONAL INDUSTRIAL DOORS: to learn more about the characteristics of our sectional industrial doors, please refer to the specific pages dedicated to this type of doors.

LOADING PLATFORMS: loading platforms are the ideal solution for companies, warehouses and logistics firms needing to move large quantities of goods on a daily basis.

Thanks to their robust structure and user-friendly assembly and system, Iridium hydraulic ramps can be used in any context and are an excellent choice for moving all types of goods.

Our platforms for loading bays are supplied with all accessories needed for active and passive safety: a sensor, integrated in the central control unit, causes the sideboard to unlock in the presence of obstacles; a check valve interrupts eventual accidental or uncontrolled downward movements if the vehicle should happen to detach from the dock; a safety valve – controlled by the operator with the stop button on the electric panel – interrupts downward movements by the ramp in the event of emergencies; rubber foot guards avoid damage to the structure in the event of incorrect vehicle maneuvres.

Isothermal Portals

Iridium supplies various types of isothermal portals:

Suspended or installed on the ground: the load-bearing structure is designed in hot-dip galvanized steel sections, and the shock-absorption device to protect the portal from incorrect vehicle maneuvres is integrated in the structure. The front flaps, side covers and upper covers are developed in self-extinguishing tear-proof dual coated PVC polyester, and are reinforced in the areas likely to be most exposed to wear. The front flaps can also be designed in rubber, with double PVC reinforcement cover.

Cushion portal (with fixed horizontal or mobile cushion): the load-bearing structure is designed in hot-dip galvanized steel sections, while the front flaps are developed with polyurethane foam cushions, coated with self-extinguishing tear-proof dual coated PVC polyester. This material is particularly suitable for environments characterized by significant thermal differences from the temperature outside.
