TECHNICAL INFORMATION
An Italian patent has led to the creation of an innovative industrial roller shutter, which stands out for its low light weight and resistance. This roller shutter is classified Class 4 for wind resistance and can be installed on openings up to 6 metres wide. The structure consists of elements with a pitch of 110 mm, and in one metre height there are 9 elements.
The mounting system has been simplified to facilitate installation, with fixing rings for the shaft and connecting chains allowing the elements to be mounted up to the desired size. In addition, the gasket system ensures an airtight seal on all four sides of the door.
The one-piece shutter is supplied pre-assembled, which significantly reduces installation time on site, thanks also to the integrated shutter box. The sliding system of the flap, which acts as a base to the shutter box, reduces friction and optimises the functioning of the shutter. This model solves the problem of unattractive ceiling guides and motors.
For safety and convenience, an emergency operation system has been included, which can also be operated externally with a crank handle. Transparency is another strong point, thanks to the system of transparent profiles that extend the entire length of the shutter, offering extra light and visibility inside. Lastly, the white colour of the internal metal sheet gives the product a clean and professional look.
The mechanical endurance of this system has been thoroughly tested and it satisfies high standards. The tensile strength of the nodes has been verified for heights up to 8 metres, in accordance with the norm EN 12604. Insulation is provided by HCFC-free polyurethane foam with a density of 84 kg/m³. Thermal transmittance is rated at U=3.8 W/m²K according to regulations UNI EN ISO 10077-2:2012 and UNI EN 12428:2013.
The metal supports are made of Sendzimir galvanised steel, in line with regulations EN 10043 and EN 10346. The pre-painted steel is protected by a polyester coating, enriched with polyamide spheres to ensure even greater endurance.
With regard to wind load resistance, the profile rail offers Class 2 for widths up to 5 metres with no wind hooks and Class 3 for widths up to 8 metres. For widths up to 10 metres and heights up to 8 metres, the system maintains a Class 2.
The weight of the insulated profile is 0.872 kg per linear metre, with a total mantle weight of 8 kg per square metre. These technical specifications ensure that the system not only meets, but exceeds the safety and energy efficiency standards required for structures of this type.
In order to adapt to different requirements, a profile system has been developed that allows standard shutter boxes of various sizes. The shutter is equipped with a series of fast tubular motors, powered at 220v, ideal for doors subject to intensive use and designed to avoid overheating problems.
