Prestige: IRIDIUM DOORS selected by the world's first experimental nuclear fusion power plant
Technical challenge: covering 1200 m2 of surface area
Specialisation: all the experience and know-how of IRIDIUM DOORS
THE PROJECT
In Cadarache, near Aix en Provence, in Southern France, we have one of the most impressive scientific research collaborations on the planet: THE INTERNATIONAL NUCLEAR FUSION PROJECT I.T.E.R. (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor). 34 countries are teaming up to reproduce the same process that takes place in the sun to produce cheaper, cleaner and safer energy through a new type of reactor.
For the world's first experimental nuclear fusion power plant, IRIDIUM DOORS built an automated mobile roof of exceptional dimensions, 1200 m2 surface area, 5 m high for a 20 m span. A result made possible thanks to its long and consolidated experience, great know-how and highly qualified technical staff, guaranteeing the perfect success of all types of projects.
I.T.E.R.is one of our special projects.
